Uni + Paperwork = disaster

Holiday is over, back to Uni!

This year in Tilburg, which I don't really like because I don't like Tilburg. New building also means a lot of searching.
But before all this is going to happen I need to fill in another (the third!) application and still need to pay tuition and need to gain access to our BlackBoard website again.
According to my University they send me a lot of letters with information and dates?! They did send 5 of the same forms but no letter how much I had to pay for this year...But it wouldn't be Avans if not everything would go wrong (Like the last 2 years).
We'll see Monday!

IKEA Summerparty

IKEA Summerparty: "La Perla"
The theme: black and red/Spanish.
Date and time: August the 25th starts at pm.

The first time an IKEA party was with a partner/friend. Instead of bringing my partner I took my old (IKEA)colleague. Karin (my 'partner' for the night) was dressed in white, not good! Although some partners of my collegeas thought the dresscode was pink or a lot of klevitch?!

Like every IKEA party there is alot of 70/80 and 90 music. So a lot of dancing and for this party they hired a mechanical bull (bull->Spain). After everyone went on one time (and had a few beers) some storage department employees thought it would be funny to go with 2 person and see how long they would last on the bull. This was an instead hit and this concept was even expanded for 3 to 4 people. And after a good conversation with Jeroen (old classmate and not Jeroen on the picture) he decided that it was a good idea to stand up straight on the bull. Which the people who owned the bull did not allowed, poor Jeroen.

Good party, which ended reasonably (before 4am) early for me...luckily some of my colleagues misbehaved, so enough to talk about next week.

Rain, scenery and lager = England

After a splendid holiday, where we drove around a lot (well Steve drove, and I slept). Visiting Rob in Cardiff and 2 days later visit Kate in Seaham (next to Sunderland, for anyone who is interested). 500 kilometers up north.
Luckily there was also time for some walking and food shopping, people might not know this but I love to shop for foreign food! After visiting Rob we went with the whole Hunt Family to the Brecon Beacons quarry where we walked all the way (photo made on "Lord Herefords Knob"?!) and we went to the Malvern quarry, I wanted to go to the heighest point. That meant quit some walking up to a steep hill, and (of course) the way back was just one stair flight down...

We visited Kate and Dave who moved into a new flat where we also met 'Jack'... Jack is little, grey, furry and a bit aggressive but very very cute! Because we were over in the north over the weekend we had a chance to see what Sunderland had to offer on a Saturday night.
One thing I noticed, besides that I can't really understand anyone there because of the accent, there are a lot of not-very-bright-people. I bumped into someone at the toilets and she asked me: "Where are you from" so my reply was to keep it easy: "Holland". She seriously replied with "Ow yea that's next to Dover yeah, down south". I thought it was pretty funny.

After only a week it was time to go home. Friends of Steve who were going to stay over in Leiden for a week were on the same flight to Amsterdam. I found out that Alex works for Apple! So after I didn't wanted to let go of his personalized MacBook he promised me some brand new software :)

Holiday!

After trying to re-register at my university, try to make the cats listen to me and fix the internet connection it is time to tell you that today was my last day at work.
Did I quit my job? Nope, today was just my last day of work before my holiday started.

I am so looking forward to my holiday! I am going, no I should say Steve and I are going to England :)
I am so much better prepared then last time we went there! This time I bought a travel pillow and boots! So no muscle aches and sore feet anymore...

So I should start doing some laundry and packing, but that can wait for tomorrow.
